Emergency Responder Certificate Training:
Hazardous Materials Awareness (Level I): This course follows the Hazardous Materials Awareness response actions as identified in 29CFR 1910.120 and NFPA 472. A certificate will be issued for those successfully completing the requirements set forth in the governing regulations. (6 hrs)
Emergency Response to Terrorism (Basic Concepts): This course was originally developed by the National Fire Academy in support of the Domestic Preparedness Programs and is designed for Emergency Responders. Students will be awarded a certificate from the Department of Homeland Security after successful completion of this course. (16hrs) Recognizing the Outward Warning Signs of Terrorism: This course was developed by our subject matter experts and includes several Table-Top Exercises (TTXs) and requires the students to implement local response procedures and follow the National Incident Management System (NIMS). (8hrs)
Defensive Tactics Training: This course is currently under development. Updates will be posted as progress is made.
Explosive Ordnance Recognition: This course was developed by our subject matter experts and provides a basic overview of explosive recognition and recommended defensive actions for local responders. (4hrs)
